No, I didn't get picked up by HarperCollins or anything rad like that. Bear with me.

I will not self-publish Streets or Warmness on the Soul.

After a year's worth of self-publishing experience and a nagging sense that I didn't accomplish what I'd hoped to with Darkness Surrounding, I will no longer be distributing Darkness Surrounding in print or online, nor will I publish the remaining books under Tarsier Publishing. Instead, I will be re-vamping Darkness Surrounding and querying literary agents. Yes, folks -- I'm going traditional.

I have three main goals for the new and improved Darkness Surrounding:

• To open the book with a non-basketball beginning that accurately reflects the novel as a whole.
• To make Zanni the badass I intended her to be.
• To expand the book from 51,000 words to 75,000 + (and not end on a massive, massive cliffhanger!)

I have some other goals to contend with, but those are the most important ones right now. 

I thank you all for supporting me and for purchasing Darkness Surrounding over the past year. These characters have shared space in my brain for about six years now, and I'm determined to do them justice.  I sincerely hope that the next time you see it, it'll be on a shelf at Barnes & Noble or at your local grocery store with award stickers plastered all over it.
