Theories

I just finished "Darkness Surrounding" and my mind is whorling.
What are your theories for the next book?
Mine:
Something is up with Sean. I don't think people are being sympathetic because of their fight. I'm not sure what happened, exactly. At first I thought he died, but now I'm starting to think he moved away or his parents died or something?
If I'm remembering correctly, there are 24 Atavists (23 males + Zanni) and there are 23 Second Heartbeats (19 after the last couple of pages). I'm not sure what that means exactly, but something I noticed.
Either Toby's going to get caught up in this somehow, or he's gone until the last book.
Garr is hiding something. He seems really reluctant to talk about himself; perhaps it's because he's insecure or something's deeper.
Eeek! Let us geek out, shall we?

Maybe he's the 24th immortal... Maybe he's Zanni's great great great great great grandaddy (I bet Kat's laughing her head off) or something like that. ;) And he was being all mysterious in DS.

There is definitely something up with Sean. I mean, friends have fights right? They should either make up or get on with their lives. I'm certain there's something else going on. And now that you mention that about Garr... Yeeaahh I think he is hiding something. Hmmm... I wonder if it's just embarrassing or if it's something that happened to him that might happen to Zani too and he's just afraid to tell her... We'll see! XD

I agree completely! There has to be a reason why he suddenly shut them off/why Zanni hasn't seen him around.
