Taos Pictures // Editing

Posted by Kat on June 6th, 2011 at 511:24 AM

The Taos pictures are still sitting on my camera just waiting to make their way onto this website. I promise that I'll get to it soon.

More importantly, I have only a few chapters left to edit before Darkness Surrounding goes through one final read-through. I'll be finishing the cover this week. My goal is to have everything uploaded and submitted by this Friday (June 10th) so that I can apply for an LCCN. Once that's done, I'll receive my proof to make sure that everything printed correctly. Once that's done, I'll be ordering a bunch of copies to sell to you directly (although you can still order through Amazon if that's more convenient). Yipee! Publicity will be the next step, but let's not jump the gun just yet...

Can't wait to share Zanni's strange world with you all! ;]

P.S. The feedback on my novel has been great (from teens and adults alike!).

Good for you, Kat. I'm glad to hear that things are running well. You deserve it.

I can't wait for my copy! (signed of course) :D

I'm going to get so sentimental when I hold one of your books in my hands for the first time. Im just so.... Weird like that. I seriously do things like that. I'll be all like "omg Kathryn actually touched this thing. She wrote this thing. I watched it come into action and I KNOW THE AUTHOR AND I READ SOME OF THE ROUGH DRAFT AND IM HOLDING THE REAL THING!-"

I'm just saying, as a hopeful future author, this whole thing has been so inspiring. I'm amazed at how it can simply go from an idea in your head, to a rough manuscript, to a full on book.

And I had to write and delete that comment over and over again because of typos....

Oh, iPod, what have I ever done to you?

@ Julienne: I'm glad that you find it inspiring! Feel free to ask me any questions you have about my publishing "journey." :]
