Semester is Ending & Fun Stuff

Thank GOODNESS that there's only four days left of this semester. I'm about to lose my head over the workload.

On the bright side, I found a like-minded writer who has published on CreateSpace, the service I'll be using for The Atavists Trilogy. Her name is Sarah Renee, and she published her first book at fourteen (that's when I wrote my first draft of Darkness Surrounding, and she wrote the first draft of her novel at age ten!). You can read more about her here.

"It is difficult to be a young author because I think people assume that talent comes with age," Sarah said. "My advice for other young writers out there is to gain writing experience and stick with it. Don't be afraid to revise and rewrite books until they are the best they can be; it takes a lot of time to write a truly great novel."

Couldn't agree more.

Here's a song that's been fueling my writing lately. Shadow's new vocal style is still growing on me (much like a fungus), so it took me a few listens - and a look at the lyrics - to appreciate this song.
